The Daily Grind

The best bit of the experience is that we got to crew the yacht. This involves 'grinding' one of four winches which are used to raise and lower the sail. It took two people per winch, turning with all our might.

Our first job was to raise the main sail, it was easy to start. However, as the sail started to catch the wind it became incredibly difficult to move and we were soon sweating.
