The Inaugural Avoca Open
My Mum and I are at the Avoca with the usual crowd. It was too hot to do much but we played a lot of golf. In addition to the usual hazards of trees and water, this course has lots of cow pats!Monday, January 21, 2008
New Camera
Bad news. After 3 1/2 years of service, my trusty camera, a Canon S1 IS, died last week. The CCD failed. I was gutted...Good news. Some research on the web revealed a product recall on this model. Canon have replaced it with a brand new S5 IS!

James and his Grandad
The world bowls championship 2008 is being held in Christchurch and Big James is in charge of the score board. I think James is very proud of his Grandad in his official competition uniform. Catch of the Day

Phew What a Scorcher!
This summer is hot! So we spent the afternoon at the botanic gardens and cooled down with an ice cream.
